Yellow Dog recently unveiled a new version of Linux for the Macintosh. Yellow Dog Linux now arrived at version 2.2 and includes support for the new ATI and Nvidia graphics cards and Apple ADC's proprietary video interface. The Mac OS X X Boot Manager can recognize the Linux partition. According to the first reports Yellow Dog Linux has a good speed (better according to some compared to that of Mac OS X). We remember that although there are other Linux for PPC products by Mandrake and SuSe, for example, Yellow Dog the only manufacturer to focus its attention on specifically Apple hardware.
