Pressure, tilt, and wheel to paint with Wacom on Photoshop 7

Among the many new features, Adobe Photoshop 7.0, which we will refer to in many of our services in the next few hours, offers a new painting engine that guarantees even more extensive support for the input devices of WACOM graphics tablets. This is the complete range of inclination and pressure sensitive pens and the Intuos2 digital airbrush, thanks to which you get a more flexible and intuitive control of the tools offered by Photoshop for the improvement of images.

The shape and dimensions of the stroke, the intensity, uniformity, color, opacity up to the structure of the objects, can be controlled and modified in real time thanks to the sensitivity to the pressure and the inclination of the pen and to the command Intuos2 airbrush "wheel"

Thanks to the new Healing Brush, Photoshop 7.0 offers the support of 19 WACOM pressure-sensitive devices: Paintbrush, Pencil, Airbrush, Rubber Stamp, Pattern Stamp, History Brush, Art History Brush, Eraser, Background Eraser, Smudge, Blur, Burn, Healing Brush, Sharpen, Dodge, Sponge, Magnetic Lasso, Magnetic Pen and Liquify (including Warp, Twirl, Turbulence, Pucker and Bloat). Healing Brush simplifies the retouching of images, removing dust, scratches, imperfections and ripples while automatically maintaining shades , the light and structure of an image duplicated from another layer.

The new Photoshop 7.0 painting engine allows design professionals to create brush presets and simulate traditional painting techniques with strokes with a dry or soft effect, with the use of pastels and charcoal, or brushes if you want to obtain a particular result like that of grass or leaves.

The painting engine allows you to make the most of the pressure and inclination sensitivity of the Intuos and Intuos2 input devices and the WACOM airbrush wheel, ensuring precise control of the stretch. Furthermore, it is possible to get a preview of the drawing, so as to improve the result thanks to a dozen tools for hatching, tilting, spacing, size, structure and shading, saving the various settings as brush presets .

The Intacos / Intuos2 digital airbrush from WACOM was designed to be held between the thumb and middle finger. In this way, you can slide the wheel located on top of the spray gun with your index finger and check all the variables, including the size and opacity of the brushes. By turning the wheel forward, the variable increases in intensity, by turning the wheel in the opposite direction, the intensity of the variable is reduced. For greater control, the speed of the wheel (minimum / average / maximum) can be customized according to user preferences.
