CES2017: sous vide cooking is now accessible to everyone with the Anova Nano

Anova has announced the imminent launch of its new sous vide (vacuum) cooking tool, called Anova Nano: it is a reduced and less expensive version of the classic Anova Precision Cooker, which Macitynet had reviewed in the past.

As the name implies, the Anova Nano is a leaner version not only in terms of size, but also because it only includes Bluetooth connectivity and no Wi-Fi. In addition, even the maximum maximum power, but according to Anova it will always be sufficient to obtain cooking under vacuum, perhaps taking only longer to reach the dedicated temperatures.

Faced with these limitations, the price also drops: 99 dollars against 199 for the Anova Precision Cooker, practically half the price of the larger model. We are therefore faced with one of the cheapest solutions ever to be able to practice vacuum cooking directly at home, without having to buy expensive semi-professional equipment.

The Anova Nano will be available next summer; in the meantime, Anova is also working on its Anova Precision Oven, a connected oven that should facilitate cooking by making it easier to reach temperatures, also coming next summer, but whose sales price is not yet known precisely.
