CES2017: Netatmo Smart Smoke Alarm, the smoke detector for the home – Macitynet.it Netatmo Smart Smoke Alarm

Among the novelties presented at the Consumer Electronic Show in Las Vegas there is also Netatmo Smart Smoke Alarm, a new accessory compatible with Apple's HomeKit that detects and signals the presence of smoke. Made in collaboration with the two French companies Velux and Legrand, it is the direct competitor of Nest Protect. It connects via Bluetooth and / or Wi-Fi to devices, to which it sends real-time alerts to report the possible presence of smoke.

In addition to a notification on the smartphone, thanks to the compatibility with Apple's HomeKit, it is possible to pre-configure the system, for example to signal alarms visually also through the flashing of the house lights, as well as activating an audio signal through the built-in 85 decibel siren .

Netatmo Smart Smoke Alarm also performs periodic checks automatically, generating a precise report allowing the user to always be sure that all the hardware is in order and ready to work in case of need. Also compatible with IFTTT, as regards autonomy, the built-in battery ensures ten years of use. It will be available from the second half of this year.
