How to disassemble and replace the screen of a Nokia Lumia 620 | Guide

First of all, let us start by saying that some familiarity is needed to be able to complete the operations that we are going to explain to you.

You will need the following tools: TweezersRound tip knife or similar toolPlaters or plastic shearsPlierSmall screwdriverT4 Torx screwdriver

1) Opening

Open the back cover and remove any mobile part of your Lumia 620: cover, battery, SIM and microSD

Remove the battery doorRemove the batter, SIM card and Memeory SD card

2) Screws

Use the Torx T4 screwdriver to remove the 6 screws

Remove the six screws with T4 screw driver

3) Speaker

Once the screws are removed, you can proceed with the removal of the housing of the other speakers

Remove the speaker housing

4) Display and digitizer

Using our pick we gently lift and disconnect the connectors of the display and digitizer

  Disconnect the flex ribbons of display and digitizer

5) Motherboard

We have reached the heart of the phone, we can proceed to lift the motherboard. To do this, simply lift the entire block calmly upwards.

Lift up the Rear housing and motherboard

6) Central plate

By slightly forcing with the flat screwdriver or with the pick we lift the central plate.

Remove the middle plate

7) LCD and digitizer

Still using the flat screwdriver, we lift the display and the digitzer

8) Replacement and reassembly

At this point you have direct access to all the components of the smartphone, you can then proceed to replace the damaged parts and then follow the reverse procedure to reassemble your Lumia again fully functional.
