HomeKit will already be in the apartment. This is the vision of Apple's home future which, in collaboration with some American home builders, wishes to offer a whole series of accessories and automated systems already integrated in the homes on sale.

The news comes from Bloomberg, who would have had the opportunity to view a model of Smart house in Alameda (California) made by Lennar Corporation that should arrive soon in the US market.

David Kaiserman, president of the technological division of the aforementioned construction company, illustrated the potential advantages that would be obtained in buying a hi-tech house right away, thus avoiding the installation of smart devices such as smart curtains and locks, retrospectively in homes already existing, perhaps even dated, sometimes frustrating and always expensive procedure.

In the ideal of Lennar c Siri's Smart home that responds to a user's Good morning by automatically turning on the light, while from the Apple Home app you can play your music from the hi-fi speakers connected in the various rooms and, if desired, you can also fill the bathtub with a click from the phone. At the end of the games, the connected house is obtained with an extra of about $ 30,000.

For Apple's vice president of marketing Greg Joswiak, this is an important step in a market where users would struggle to buy dozens of products currently sold separately. For this – he explains – the best place to start at the beginning, thus selling in bundle (albeit without a real discount) a whole series of HomeKit devices for the connected home.

The Cupertino company is also launching new partnerships with other builders such as Brookfield Residential Properties Inc., but none of the companies have yet commented on the news with a sale date for the houses of the future. Kaiserman hopes that the collaboration with Apple will lead to a halo effect that will convince potential home buyers to prefer the Smart one in a neighborhood where there are also other traditional apartments still for sale.
