Fibaro Homekit home automation sensors with Bluetooth have the aesthetics of the Z-wave models –

Fibaro enters the Homekit world but does not do so with a Hub dedicated to bridge with its Z-wave peripherals but with three multisensors that communicate via Bluetooth with your iPhone, iPad or as your Apple TV that acts as a Home Automation Hub for remote control.

The surprise move of the well-known manufacturer of solutions for the Smart Home, which has always had the final design of its products at heart, sees the entry of a respectable actor in the world of Homekit peripherals and broadens its ability to manage individual parameters of the house especially from the point of view of safety. In addition, the sensors presented have double or triple functions and can help reduce the cost of setting up a complex home automation system based on the Apple protocol.

As we have explained in our articles, the management beyond the limits of Bluetooth radio transmission will be carried out through the services of Apple TV or a compatible iPad used for the purpose.

Fibaro currently excludes any interaction between its two home automation hubs on the market (they do not have bluetooth on board) and access to the functionality of the new accessories with the current App. To manage the specific parameters of the sensors (such as the coloring of the " eye โ€of the sensor) Fibaro will release a specific application in conjunction with the sensors output.

Currently the corresponding Z-wave versions of the sensors have these prices:

We will keep you informed on the actual availability of Fibaro Homekit products on the European market. In the USA, the year-end release is expected at prices of 69 and 59 dollars.
