Kotaku, one of the best known and most followed blogs dedicated to the world of video games, says that Graeme Devine, chief designer of Ensemble Studio, would have been recruited by Apple for a mysterious job offer in the iPhone Group. Devine held lead designer and lead writer roles during Halo Wars development before Microsoft closed Ensemble Studios. The news would have been confirmed by Devine himself who made references to the World Wide Developers Conference on Twitter.

Last year Devine, in a ranking drawn up by Kotaku, placed 36th in the list of the most important game developers. The developer known for his contributions to "7Th Guest" and "The 11th Hour" when he worked at Trilobyte, a company he formed in 1990. Devine later worked at Id Software (collaborating on the development of titles such as: Quake, Return to Castle Wolfenstein and Quake III) and at Ensemble Studios, where he collaborated on many successful games, including "Age of Empires III" (more than 15 million copies sold worldwide) and the aforementioned "Halo Wars ”(a strategy game based on the legendary Halo universe).
