Jailbreak iOS 7.1: is it possible to do it? Is downgrade from iOS 7.1 possible? Here are all …

The iOS 7.1 jailbreak does not exist and probably will never come: stay away from iOS 7.1 if you want to preserve the Jailbreak

A few hours ago Apple has officially released the adiOS 7.1 update for iPhone, iPod and iPad.

As we anticipated in our previous article, if you want the jailbreak on your iPhone, iPod and iPad you must absolutely stay away from iOS 7.1 because this update blocks any possibility of jailbreak. At the moment not expected a jailbreak diiOS 7.1 and in all probability the next jailbreak will be released only with iOS 8.

The same MuscleNerd, one of the hackers of the ev3der team, promptly provided indications to those interested in the Jailbreak as soon as iOS 7.1 was officially released by Apple.

As easy to notice,MuscleNerd recommends via Twitter to stay away from this update to iOS 7.1.The adiOS 7.1 update, in fact, blocks any possibility of jailbreaking.

Furthermore, the hacker reports that starting from this moment it will not be possible to downgrade from iOS 7.1 to an earlier version of iOS on any Apple device, except for the iPhone 4, which has now been "laundered" and therefore immune to any type of blocking by Apple. therefore, even if you have the famous SHSH certificates, to date you cannot in any way downgrade from iOS 7.1 to a previous version of iOS such as 7.0.6.

To date, in fact, it is possible to perform the Jailbreak up to iOS 7.0.6, but by running the updatecatkin and not being able to go back we will have to relentlessly give up not being able to have the Jailbreak until the release of the next tool, which will hardly be released before iOS 8.

Those who have already updated to iOS 7.1, therefore, have no hopes for now: the jailbreak does not exist and almost certainly will never come.

Recall that in the past Apple had already blocked the Jailbreak with the beta 4 of iOS 7.1, so the blockade of today does not surprise us much.Anyway, it may be that some team is already working on a new Jailbreak for iOS 7.1, but for now we have no confirmation on this. Any surprises will be welcome however.

As we have already said, however, if you want jailbreak DO NOT update in any way adiOS 7.1.With this update, in fact, Apple has officially closed the signatures of iOS 7.0.6 and we are therefore forced to update in case of recovery of the iPhone, iPod and iPad.

Usually, in fact, Apple allows you to install on the iPhone, iPod and iPad only the latest firmware released for that specific device, but sometimes there is a window of time in which you can also install a previous firmware (downgrade), which is very convenient for those who wants to jailbreak. This time, however, the window was almost non-existent and anyone who needs to restore iPhone, iPod and iPad updated to iOS 7.0.6 will be forced to update to iOS 7.1, with the consequent loss of the jailbreak.

BE VERY CAREFUL: if you want or need to restore your iPhone, iPod and iPad device, you will automatically be forced to update to the latest firmware, or iOS 7.1, for which the jailbreak does not exist.

Usually, when a new version of iOS is released, both the new signature and the signature of the previous iOS are available on Apple servers at least for a limited period of time. Contrary to what we are used to seeing, however, in this case the signature of iOS 7.0.6 has been removed almost immediately and therefore no one will be able to install iOS 7.0.6 in case of recovery: it will go directly to iOS 7.1. A serious blow for those who want to jailbreak their iPhone, iPod and iPad.
