GitHub: available for download the official app for Android and iOS

GitHub it is now officially available for download on Android and iOS: both versions of the app can already be downloaded from their respective stores – the download links can be found at the bottom of the article.

The new app basically offers the same user experience as the beta release that we had analyzed just over two months ago. Compared to the latter, however, GitHub decided to listen to user feedback, introducing a requested feature loudly from the whole community: it is now possible browse the code of a repository.

Below is a summary of the main features of GitHub.

  • organize work with labels, projects and more
  • view and read README files
  • browse the code of a repository

In an official blog post, the developers also confirmed that they are already working on new features and APIs that will enable Enterprise Server to be supported later this year. Then we leave you to the respective links for downloading GitHub on Google Play and App Store.
