At CES 2016 Hunter presented HomeKit compatible ceiling fans

Among the numerous new devices compatible with Apple's HomeKit technology presented at CES 2016, Hunter offers the first ceiling fans. Named "Symphony" and "Signal", according to the manufacturer, they are the first such devices to support Apple's home automation platform.

The two ceiling blades connect to the WiFi of the home network and can be controlled from iPhone and iPad also with voice commands using Siri. You can interface them with other HomeKit compatible products such as lights and thermostats, managing everything from iOS.

Specific features (β€œscenes) allow you to activate multiple devices simultaneously; with a single command you can, for example, lock a door, turn on the lights, activate the fan. Trigger mechanisms allow you to activate / deactivate the fan when particular events occur (e.g. when the HomeKit compatible fire alarm detects smoke).

The blades of the two devices measure 1.37m, integrate progressive shutdown lamps and have a mechanism called WhisperWind which offers silent rotary motion for ventilation. The Symphony model has a modern design with white blades; the Signal integrates blades with wood finishes and satin nickel housing. Prices in the US are $ 329 and $ 379 respectively. The two products will be available from spring.
