Now, thanks to the iOS 14 snippets, we have learned more information about the news that will introduce the company from Cupertino.

First of all, it appears that Apple is also working on a larger version of iPhone 9, that could be called iPhone 9 Plus. It would make sense considering that these iPhones should replace the iPhone 8 line, which features 4.7 and 5.5-inch versions.

Tests indicate that both new devices will work with the chip A13 Bionic, the same processor used in the iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro. This should make the iPhone 9 more attractive for those who still use older models like the iPhone 6 and iPhone 7, as some people prefer not to spend too much money on high-end smartphones, both models appear to offer Touch ID instead of Face ID and the size of the 4.7 and 5.5 inch screens seems to be confirmed. Users will be able to use Apple Pay and function Express Transit, which is not available on some older iPhones.

important to note that the names of iPhone 9 and iPhone 9 Plus are purely speculative, so much so that some rumors claim that it will be called iPhone SE 2. According to forecasts, the new iPhone 9 or iPhone SE 2 would be released this spring, possibly alongside or after the iOS 13.4 release. Currently for we do not know that the coronavirus may have slowed the announcement of the devices and from Apple we have no official communication on the matter.
