Instagram now allows you to share Stories in direct messages

Instagram has announced that it will soon launch a new feature for its popular photo sharing service. This will allow you to share them Stories with friends and family in Direct messages.

The new feature being rolled out for the mobile app and should be available globally in the coming weeks in the form of an update that will arrive with version 11.0.

To help users instantly share a story, Instagram thought to include some sort of shortcut to easily send one Stories privately to the person concerned. Since Stories disappear 24 hours after publication, it will no longer be possible to view them in direct messages once the original post has been deleted.

Although it may be a feature appreciated by some users, there is a concern for privacy since the History it could be shared with anyone live. There could be a danger if you haven't set up your account as private. In the latter case, only followers will be able to see the story live.

Fortunately, Instagram it also offers an option that allows you to disable the direct sharing of Stories function. Towards the end of last month, Instagram started to distribute the Stories feature to users who are used to accessing their account from the web version, both on desktop and on mobile.

At the same time, the developers they promised to add soon the possibility to publish Stories through the mobile web version.
