LG unveiled its flagship G3 in late May and managed to gain a lot of attention thanks to the dense QHD / 2K pixel display. After much waiting, the South Korean company launched the device in India with a lot of hype. The LG G3 makes a bold statement, thanks to an elegant design and some worthy features.
Speaking before the design, the LG G3 is reminiscent of the LG G2. There are the same volume rocker mounted on the back, power / lock button, but these keys now have a refined look. As expected, the LG G3 has very narrow bezels and has a 76.4% screen-to-body ratio. The narrow bezels look amazing and it certainly goes to the amount of work LG has put into making this smartphone. Thanks to the narrow bezels, LG managed to keep the smartphone quite compact compared to other smartphones with 5, 5-inch displays. LG G3 measures 146, 3 74, 6 8, 9 mm and weighs 10 grams. The device has a polycarbonate body with a matte metal finish on the top, which gives it a premium look and feel.
LG G3 equipped with a 5.5-inch Quad-HD IPS LCD display (2560x1440p). The high resolution display compensates for a pixel density of 538ppi. powered by a 2.5 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor, the same chip-set that powers all current flagships including One M8, Galaxy S5 and Xperia Z2. There is an Adreno 330 GPU for all your gaming needs. The laptop is available in two versions, 16 GB and 32 GB of internal memory with 2 and 3 GB of RAM respectively. There is also microSD expansion up to 128 GB.
The interesting camera on LG G3. On the back, there is a 13 MP OIS + camera with an LED flash. As we mentioned in the title, LG's flagship packages in a laser beam sensor, which is an industry novelty. The laser beam sensor causes autofocus to function like a spell. LG claims that the sensor can even focus in low light conditions. The camera sensor also features phase autofocus, which should make it even more interesting. On the front, there is a 2.1 MP camera with a larger sensor to capture more people in your selfies. You can also capture selfies through gestures.
The LG G3 equipped with Android 4.4.2 KitKat integrated with a completely new interface. The new interface much flatter and cleaner. There are also a lot of new features. The most important are Smart Keyboard, which is predictive and LG says it reduces errors by 75%. Then there is the Smart Notice, which shows contextual information directly on your homescreen. There is also Smart Security, which includes the popular Knock code and other security features.
The device also features a 1 W rear speaker with Boost AM. A 3000 mAh battery powers the device and, if LG is believed, it should work well enough. On the connectivity front, there is almost everything you would expect. 4G LTE, HSPA + 21 Mbps (3G), Wi-Fi 802.11 a / b / g / n / ac, Bluetooth Smart Ready (Apt-X), NFC, SlimPort, A-GPS / Glonass and USB 2.0 are available.
