iPhone 3G the gadget of the year for Stuff readers
Like every year, Stuff magazine asks its readers who are passionate about gadgets and technology to vote for the best product of the year. iPhone 3G has surpassed all fierce competitors by winning the prestigious title awarded not by the editorial staff of the magazine but directly by the readers who personally purchase and use the named devices.
iPhone 3G has been defined as a "faster and smarter version of an already remarkable smartphone": remember that the first iPhone EDGE won the Gadget title of the year in the previous edition of the Stuff prize.
iPhone 3G has thus surpassed Microsoft Xbox 360, Sony Playstation 3, Nintendo Wii Fit and B&W Zeppelin speakers for iPod. Simultaneously with the readers' vote, the Stuff editorial staff voted the Asus Eee PC as the product of the year for its impact on the market and above all for opening the era of the laptop for everyone, thanks to the extremely low price.
We remember the main winners in the other categories: Nokia as an international brand, Sony Reader for innovation, the MacBook Air for design. The title of best video game went to Grand Theft Auto IV while among the best online shops Firebox.com was awarded for the sale of hi-tech gadgets and toys.
