Pages, the word processor for Mac developed by Apple. In this series of tutorials we see together to take the first steps to become experts! Part23: Using the left and right side by side pages
If you want to print a document on both sides and bind it, the document must have pages side by side on the right and left.
Usually, the left and right pages of these documents have different internal and external margins. For example, the inner margins of a document that will be bound must be wider than the outer margins.
If the document contains sections, such as chapters, you can use different headers and footers for left and right pages when placing page numbers on the outer corners of each page.
After adjusting the margins and editing the headers and footers, you can review the document before printing it.
Define the margins for facing pages
Use "Document Settings" to set different margins for left and right pages.
To create different margins for pages facing left and right:
- Click Settings in the toolbar, click the Document button, then click Document.
- Select "Facing Pages"
- Set internal and external margins.
The inner margin is the side of the left or right page that will be included in the binding. The outer margin is the side that is on the outer edge of the left or right page.
