For 16 consecutive months the Japanese mobile operator Softbank, the third largest in the country, has recorded a net increase in users that is greater than all competitors, in particular surpassing the most important NTT DoCoMo and the second in the KDDI Corp. ranking.

The monthly net increase of operators obtained starting from the total number of new subscribers from which the number of customers who abandon to subtract from another operator is subtracted. Softbank spokesmen, quoted by Reuters, announced that in July the net increase was 215,400 users, while in August the number stabilized on 163,300 customers.
