Despite the slow recovery of production activities in China for the Coronavirus alarm, it seems that the new Apple professional tablet is already in production: the photograph of the alleged iPad Pro 2020 cover confirms the presence on the back of a large square protrusion with rounded corners to accommodate the cameras.
So far, all Apple tablets have provided only one camera. If the new photo of the iPad Pro 2020 cover shows an authentic accessory, it would be the confirmation of the arrival of more cameras, a solution similar to the one that Cupertino has already used on the iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro.
For months now, the advances on the new professional tablets indicate a triple camera system, with the possible addition of an additional sensor to detect distance and depth of objects. For these tablets, Ming Chi Kuo is an Apple A14X processor, improved Face ID, time-of-flight camera, signed ToF, and arrival date within the first half of this year.
In this article we report a photograph of the alleged iPad Pro 2020 cover published by serial leaker Ben Geskin, as well as a render of the possible tablet design that appeared at the end of last year. It seems that the overall dimensions and design will be very similar if not identical to those of the current models.
It is not yet clear whether Apple will decide to introduce Apple A14, ToF camera and maybe even 5G connectivity first in its professional tablets instead of the iPhone 12 expected in September. They do not even agree on the expected launch date: according to some, in fact, the production has already started and could arrive in the Apple keynote of March 31, according to others instead the release could take place in the autumn, or in any case after the iPhone 12.
