Altec Lansing presents speakers with integrated subwoofers
Cables that annoy and, in addition to the two speakers to be placed on the side of the monitor, a third bulky element represented by the generously sized subwoofer to be placed under the desk. The traditional speaker layout completely revised by the new FX3022 speaker system that the manufacturer Altec Lansing presented at the IFA in Berlin.
These are two elements with an unusual conical shape, each of which integrates a 1.5-inch speaker and at the base also a subwoofer with a 4-inch speaker: thanks to this integration, FX3022 replaces the bulky subwoofer to be placed under the desk. The new Altec Lansing system thus consists of only two translucent black elements: the first set indicated with the number 2.2, just to indicate the presence of two speakers and two subwoofers. The integrated audio input can be used for computers, iPods and other MP3 players: the detailed technical specifications are not yet known at the time of writing. It will be marketed in October at a price of 129 euros.
