Google Pixel 5 made an appearance in a Android Open Source Project (AOSP) which suggested the existence of the new top of the BigG range.
The new development comes days after a rendering, which emerged online, indicating the alleged design of the Pixel 5 XL. Google would be thinking about the Pixel 5 as the successor of Pixel 4, while the Pixel 5 XL should arrive as a variant characterized by a larger screen.
The developer who tested a new modification of the AOSP code claimed that the update had been tested only on Pixel 4 but not on Google Pixel 5. The description provided by the developer on the commit also suggests the presence version 4.19 of the kernel on Pixel 5. The version of the Linux kernel on Android devices usually assigned by Qualcomm.
According to the latest rumors, it seems that Google has in mind to release not one, but two Pixel 5 phones: it would be Pixel 5 and Pixel 5 XL, which have recently been identified with codenames Redfin is Bramble. A reference that had already appeared in a tweet published by Mishaal Rahman, a member of the now famous XDA developer forum, which in November last year identified the new Pixel phone codenamed Bramble with the Linux kernel version 4.19.
Many clues, therefore, but no concrete detail, at least until now. Google, in fact, has not yet leaked anything on Pixel 5 and Pixel 5 XL. The Mountain View giant is in the habit of making their Pixel series phones official between October and November, and the impression that also for Pixel 5 we will have to wait for autumn 2020.
In addition to Pixel 5 and Pixel 5 XL, Google should also be working on the Pixel 4a: in this case the presentation should take place shortly, most likely in May. Not excluded that the phone may be made official during the Google I / O 2020, which will begin on May 12th.
