iPhone returns to the top of the most used "cameraphone" on Flickr
Despite only 2 Mpx of its camera, Apple's cell phone seems to have returned to dominate the ranking of the most used phones to take photos hosted on Flickr, the most popular photosharing service on the network.
After a return of the Nokia N95 (which boasts 5 Mpx at its service), the release of the iPhone 3G has probably given new fuel to the rise of the iPhone, also thanks to the introduction of geotagging and the numerous applications on the App Store that support the over-the-air uploading to Flickr of images taken with the Apple mobile phone.
Unfortunately sorry to note that to date Yahoo! (owner of Flickr) has not yet taken care to develop an official iPhone application to be distributed via the App Store; for now you have to rely on third party software.
Flickr probably one of the most obvious alternatives to the MobileMe Gallery, but until appropriate software is available, the Apple service (except for malfunctions), is still the most comfortable for photosharing, although more limited than what the photographic network of the Yahoo! company.
