Two IDEA awards for Belkin accessories
Belkin has received two important awards for the work done in the world of iPod peripherals, especially in terms of design and functionality. The American Industrial Designers Society in collaboration with Business Week awarded Rockstar and TuneStudio accessories.
The first received the silver medal and it is an original multiple connector for headphones and iPod, also suitable for other MP3 players, which allows you to share music and playlists with other people's players and to create extemporary mixes. The second TuneStudio accessory, which won the bronze medal, a four-channel mixer designed specifically for the iPod that allows you to create digital recordings directly in the player's memory.
"Both products have distinguished themselves for their ability to help iPod go beyond passive listening, allowing people to create a dynamic social experience," said Ernesto Quinteros, vice president of design for Belkin International, released on the occasion of the two IDEA awards.
The Macity editorial team had tried the two accessories awarded by IDEA and also many others made by Belkin at the CeBit in Hanover last March: the gallery with the impressions collected on the Belkin stand can be found on this Macity page. Finally, remember that Apple received three gold medals at the International Design Excellence Awards for iPhone, Mac Book Air and Apple Wireless Keyboard: for all the details, refer to this article by Macity.
