Traces of Copy and Paste in Firmware 2.1
Immediately after the launch of the iPhone 3G, rumors began to circulate about new functions not present in the current Firmware 2.0 but identified in the files and functions of the development kits and in the beta versions of the new Firmware.
According to a news published today by Macnn, traces of the Cut, Copy and Paste functions have been identified within the iPhone Webkit development tools. Recall that Greg Joswiak, Apple's iPod and iPhone marketing manager, described these basic editing functions as very likely, once the priority for the current integrated functions was met. Macity had dealt with the news on July 15.
Finally today Macity has dealt with other fundamental innovations for the Firmware 2.1 now in beta, in particular the GPS location functions that would allow the iPhone 3G to transform into a GPS navigation device complete with turn-by-turn guide.
