How to tethered iOS 6.1 beta 5 jailbreak – Help


We saw that a little while ago Apple has releasedthe fifth beta of iOS 6.1.

Recall that the jailbreak, for now, only tethered. The untethered one will also arrive soon, but for now we have to wait for it to be released.

Step 1:Download and install iOS 6.1 beta 5 on your device. DOWNLOAD HERE

Step 2:Download RedSn0w 0.9.15b3 from the following links:

Step 3:Make sure you have the iOS 6.0 file on your computer. If you don't have it, download it from our download section

Step 4:Connect your device to the computer and set it in DFU mode.

Step 5:Open RedSn0w and make sure your device is recognized in DFU mode by the program.

Step 6:Click on Extras> Select IPSW and select the 6.0 firmware that we mentioned earlier. The firmware should be recognized without problems by Redsn0w.

Step 7:Go back to the main page of Redsn0w and click on the item Jailbreak. This will start the Jailbreak process.

Step 8:Make sure you have checked the Install Cydia item and then click Next to proceed.

Step 9:Once the jailbreak is complete, your device will reboot.

Below is a quick reminder. We remember, in fact, that if your smartphone / tablet with tethered jailbreak should turn off, you will be forced to restart it by connecting it to a PC / Mac, otherwise you will not be able to turn it on again.

Reboot in tethered mode

Step 10:Set up your device again in DFU.

Step 11:Go back to the Extras> Select IPSW menu and select the iOS 6.0 file again. If you do not do this, your device's tethered boot will fail.

Step 12:On the Extra page, click on Just Boot and follow the instructions.

Step 13:While restarting the device you will see a pineapple on the device display.

Step 14:Once the restart is complete, your device will have been successfully updated and unlocked to iOS 6.1 beta 5 using RedSn0w 0.9.15b3
