Mac OS 9.2.1 and the Station Management: two solutions for the bug
The problem of Station Management / Remote Access module, after updating the MacOS to version 9.2.1 remains as it is: the Remote Access / Modem module does not recognize the relative control panel configurations claiming that there is only the 'Default' configuration that does not can be used.
In this case we have two solutions: – the one (suggested by Fabio Braga) to replace the aforementioned module with the one installed by MacOS 9.0.4) after which the computer + restarts and therefore the configurations imported from previous sets also work very well.
– the one (suggested by Santino) to use ResEdit to change the untranslated resources of the "Remote access ALM" file in the Extensions – Station Management Modules folder. The last two strings of the single STR # must be modified as in the image below .The control strip module must be renamed from "Remote Access Module" to "Remote Access Module"
The bug is right here. Given the ease of the solution, we hope that Apple will fix it in a future update.
