An unprecedented demand and a greater interest than any other smartphone launch recorded in the last 5 years. The results of the market surveys carried out by the RBC Technology Adoption Panel, published among others also by Silicon Alley Insider, paint an extremely favorable picture for Apple.

Among the people interviewed who intend to buy a smartphone in the next 90 days, over half, more exactly 56 percent, will buy an iPhone. 25 percent of the users surveyed said that they will probably buy it in the future: the percentage is practically double compared to that recorded by the same survey carried out in 2007, on the eve of the launch of the first iPhone. The interest in the purchase of iPhone more than double compared to any other smartphone of other manufacturers: RIM has recorded 23%, Palm 3%, HTC, Nokia and Samsung register 2% each, while Motorola the 1 for one hundred.

Among the reasons that push users to purchase iPhones, the research indicates above all the most affordable price with 67 percent, the 3G connection at 63 percent, the presence of GPS for 47% of the interviewees, and finally 35 percent for support for Microsoft Exchange and third-party applications for 20 percent.
