Venus the yacht designed and wanted by Steve Jobs. Here are the first preview photos
A year after the death of its creator, it was launched todayAalsmeerin the Netherlands,Venus, the new yacht wanted bySteve Jobs, former Apple CEO who died a little over 12 months ago and was designed entirely by the skilled hand of the French designerPhilippe Starck.
Jobs devoted a lot of time to the presentation of his particular and unique yacht, but unfortunately he was unable to prove it personally, having suddenly passed away last year.
Now, however, the yacht ready and represents, together with Apple, a small part of the legacy of Steve Jobs.
Venus appears exactly as it was described in Jobs' s biography written byWalter Isaacson:
“Elegant and minimalist. The teak decks were perfectly flat … Like in an Apple store, the windows were made of large glass. ""I know I can die and leave a half-made boat to Laurene"Jobs said to Isaacson“But I have to keep working on it. If I don't, it means admitting that I'm going to die. "
Venus, the Steve Jobs yacht, practically a giant floating Apple Store, designed respecting all the canons that Jobs also used when designing Apple stores.
But where does the particular name of this futuristic boat come from?
Venus is a name inspired by the goddess of beauty and the name clearly suggests how technology and design guided the boat's designers and builders during its creation.
Venus measures approximately 80 meters and seven 27-inch iMacs are visible on the control deck showing all kinds of information. The structure of the boat made of light aluminum.
It is certainly very particular as a yacht, but, moreover, it is fully part of the Apple canons.
