Bowers & Wilkins PI4 intraural headphones arrive in Italy. They are equipped with a double hybrid driver with a speaker amplifier and, thanks to the flexible silicone headband, they guarantee excellent wearability.
They join the PI3 – released a few months ago and already reviewed by Macitynet – and are designed to improve listening on the move through the convenience of the wireless connection combined with noise cancellation, which allows you to enjoy music in complete tranquility in any environment.
B&W PI4 can stream music wirelessly from smartphones, tablets or computers via Bluetooth, or they can be used for wireless telephony and play audio files while they are recharged via the USB port. They are currently the most advanced intraural headphones of the manufacturer and use all the techniques developed by Bowers & Wilkins in the field of adaptive noise cancellation, perception of environmental information and magnetic sensors for pause and standby.
The noise cancellation technology, already implemented in the new PX5 and PX7, intelligently detects what is happening in the surrounding environment, automatically selecting the most suitable cancellation level. The function of passing environmental information, then, allows you to perceive certain external sounds, such as conversations or safety announcements, without having to remove the earphones.

The magnetic sensors allow the Bowers & Wilkins PI4 to respond naturally to the usual behaviors, pausing and resuming the reproduction of the music simply by joining the earphones together or separating them. These functions can be enabled and further customized through the Bowers & Wilkins Headphone application, available for iOS and Android.
The PI4 are obviously equipped with a rechargeable battery: with a full charge and depending on the degree of use of Bluetooth, adaptive noise cancellation and the passage of environmental information, the battery can provide up to 12 hours of continuous operation. With medium volume and Bluetooth connection, however, 8 hours of continuous autonomy are guaranteed, while 15 minutes of charging still offer 3 hours of playback.
Bowers & Wilkins products are distributed in Italy by Audiogamma. The PI4 headphones, as we said, are already available on the Italian market in the colors Silver, Black and Gold at the retail price of 299 euros. They are also on sale on Amazon.
