Microsoft Surface Book 3 and Surface Go 2 are coming: Brad Sams of petri.com, who as an insider on everything related to the Colossus of Redmond is one of the most reliable sources ever (he also wrote a book on the genesis of the Surface brand, to say). Sams says that the two computers will be presented during the Microsoft hardware spring event, which should be held as usual in New York: there is no precise information on the date.

The new generations should not change the design we are used to today too radically. Predictably there will be an improvement in the technical specifications, but range and (above all) prices should remain substantially in line with current ones. Availability is expected, as usual, a few weeks later.

For Surface Book 3 we talk about 10th generation Intel Core processors and Nvidia GTX 16xx GPU. Interesting to note that the most prestigious model, probably again with a 15 "display, could even include professional video cards from the Quadro line. The maximum RAM should double, from 16 to 32 GB, while for SSDs the possibility of solutions is speculated at 1 TB.

With Quadro, we go into the field of portable workstations, in conclusion; Sams notes that these GPUs have a generally very high energy consumption, so it is possible that it will be necessary to take some measures on the charger / heat dissipation side.

Surface Go 2 will also follow in the footsteps of its predecessor rather faithfully. There will be i Intel's latest Pentium Gold, coupled with a more powerful Core M based solution. In the past there was talk of the possibility of a variant with SoC Arm, but Sams claims that it is a false track (on the other hand there is the Surface Pro X for ARM chips).

According to the source, among the high-profile accessories Microsoft may return to the Surface Earbuds speech, announced last October but postponed (precisely) to this spring. The new generation of Surface Headphones may also arrive, over-ear wireless headphones, the only thing known for now is that they exist.

ASUS updates its PC Gaming catalog and offers an interesting update for the model ROG Huracan G21, a product launched for the first time in 2018 and which today more than ever aims above all at those users who are looking for a compact desktop in size, without obviously sacrificing performance.

Characterized by a decidedly reduced form-factor e dimensions equal to 12.99 x 37.24 x 36.61 cm, the ROG Huracan G21 (CX) does not present any new features in terms of design, maintaining aggressive and decisive lines as well as the inevitable RGB LED system with Aura Sync technology. The chassis has a side panel with magnetic closure and allows easy access to the internal components for any hardware updates.

Moving on to the hardware configuration, the Huracan G21CX is now updated with 9th gen Intel Core processors, proposing the same option as the best option Core i9-9900K analyzed in our review; also the bought graphic has been revised, passing from GeForce GTX 10 series to the most recent and powerful NVIDIA GeForce RTX 20, except for the RTX 2080 Ti (if only for the size of the chassis).

The rest of the configuration is no different, starting from RAM (up to 32GB DDR4 2666), moving to the storage department with support for M.2 NVMe SSD and WiFi AC / Gigabit LAN connectivity. All this is placed on an ASUS mini-ITX motherboard with Intel Z390 chipset which, among other things, offers USB 3.2 gen 2 (type A) and USB 3-2 gen 1 Type-C ports.

As usual, ASUS has not provided details regarding the price of the new configurations, but on the Italian market we have spotted the Huracan G21 variant with Core i7-9700K, 16GB DDR4, RTX 2070 and 512GB SSD at a price of about 2,000 euros (see link in the EIA).
