Windows Media Player for Os X

febrero 13, 2020

Microsoft announces at MacWorld a Carbon version of the widely used Windows Media Player, perfectly compatible with MacOSX. Certainly the Mac public is much more comfortable in the QuickTime environment but very often multimedia content is distributed exclusively in proprietary Microsoft formats. Microsoft with its Mac development team has said that it will only be possible to view Windows Media content starting next winter 2001. Windows Media Player for Mac OS X will support Windows Media8 audio and video compression codecs that allow a qualitative rendering close to 64kbps on every type of band used. This version also implements the Windows Media DRM protection system designed specifically to allow listening to audio / video contributions protected by Copyrights and whose distribution restricted by law.
