Zoom levels

Before starting to work with a text document, set a certain zoom level that allows us to have a full view of the document, the view of the document must not be too small or too large.

To enlarge or reduce the document:

  • Choose View> Zoom> Zoom In or View> Zoom> Zoom Out.
  • To restore the actual size of the document, choose View> Zoom> Sizereal.
  • Choose a zoom level from the View pop-up menu located at the bottom left of the window.

To use a specific zoom level every time you open a document, choose Pages> Preferences, click Rulers, then choose a zoom level from the "Default Zoom" pop-up menu.

Alternatively you can choose one of the page display options:

One on top: presents the pages above and below.

Two at the top: two pages are presented side by side.

Suitable amplitude: resize the document according to the width of the window. You can lengthen, shorten or shrink the Pages window to fill the screen.

Fit page: a single document that fits the window.

We work at "Full Screen"

If we are working on Lion or Mountain Lion the full screen view natively supported by clicking on the arrow in the upper right corner of the Pages window.

In previous systems the full screen view can be activated by choosing "View -> Activate Full Screen Mode".
