In this tutorial we will begin to introduce Pages to beginners who switch from PC to Mac and step by step in the various articles we will present all the various features to become real experts!
The first time you open Pages the available models will be displayed. They are documents of various types, such as letters, flyers, resumes, brochures, etc. already pre-filled and pre-structured with high-impact graphics. To be immediately productive and for example create a high-impact newsletter, you can simply choose the model that best suits your tastes and modify the pre-filled fields with your information.
The new document contains placeholder text, placeholder images, and other elements that represent the objects of the finished document:
- The placeholder text shows how the text will appear on the page. If you click on the placeholder text, the entire text area is selected. When you start typing, the placeholder text disappears and is replaced by what you are typing
- Media placeholders can contain images, audio documents, and movies. Just drag the multimedia files into the appropriate area and they will be automatically positioned and resized.
- Many templates contain merge fields that allow you to easily enter names, phone numbers, addresses directly from the Address Book.
