The app is updated with several new features, including the ability to jump ahead in time during replays
Finally on Periscope things start to get interesting. The live video streaming platform attached to Twitter announced with a post on Medium two new features that will revive the community's interest in the app.
It's about a renewed map, which also includes replays of the live shows that ended in the last 24 hours, and the possibility of jump ahead in time while watching delayed movies.
The latter in particular has always been perceived by users as an inexplicable deficiency: the beauty of live streaming will also be the interaction and participation with the author of the streaming, but in reviewing an event often the only thing that matters to the viewer are the highlights.
Now you can move from one point to another of the videos by holding your finger on the image and dragging it to the right or left.
Even the map takes on a whole new importance with the update. Meanwhile, because of the few thousands of live streams at any given time add those already finished but still available. Furthermore, at each zoom on the map, the system reloads the database to show the transmissions present in the specific area chosen.
The update, which will be available in the next few hours, also includes some shortcuts for 3D Touch reserved for owners of iPhone 6s and 6s Plus, and the possibility of zoom during transmissions also on Android smartphones.
