HyperDrive GEN2 the name of a new generation of USB-C huh. The project was presented on Kickstater by Hyper – Sanho Corporation, a Silicon Valley (California) company that we know well and that at other times has stood out for other interesting USB-C hubs and GaN power supplies financed by the crowdfunding but which has always presented a vast catalog of products for both the consumer and B2B markets.
HyperDrive GEN2 was also presented at CES 2020 – where we could take the photos below on the Hyper stand – as a new generation of USB-C hub capable of doubling the speed of video refresh, data transfer and power delivery compared to current generations of USB-C hub.
In one product, HyperDrive GEN2 offers video (email protected) output (compared to 4K30Hz of the first generation of USB-C hub), USB 3.1 Gen 2 at 10Gbps (compared to 5Gbps of SB 3.1 Gen 1 of the current generation of hub of the same house), 300MB / s UHS-II MicroSD / SD 4.0 reader (faster than the 100MB / s UHS-I MicroSD / SD 3.0 of the current generation of hubs in the same house) and Power Delivery power (PD, a protocol of fast charging that boasts functionality and universality) up to 100W on USB-C (also compatible with the new MacBook Pro 16).
Note also the long USB-C cable that facilitates use even with iPad Pro without the dongle dangling remains and weights on the connection port.
HyperDrive GEN2 will be available in three different models: configurations with 6 doors, 12 doors and 18 doors.
