A few days after the possible official presentation, expected at the Unpacked event on 11 February, Galaxy Z Flip no longer seems to have any secrets. Here are the new photos that fully reveal the second foldable terminal from Samsung.
In recent days, to tell the truth, users have had a taste of what to expect from the terminal. Not only through rendering, but also in a very short video that appeared on the net. This time the Engadget editorial team got their hands on some very explanatory, high resolution photos, which show practically any aspect of the device.
These images, as you can see, show Galaxy Z Flip both when open and closed, and immediately make clear the new philosophy of Samsung, which has decided to use a completely different approach than that of the Galaxy Fold. This new Flip is more similar, conceptually, to the Motorola RAZR.
Open, Galaxy Z Flip offers a screen aspect ratio of 22: 9, a screen that I can't hide from a noticeable crease in the middle. Overall very similar to Motorola's Razr, but with a less pronounced lower "muzzle". The images that the Engadget editorial team received received reveal that the model number SM-F700U, while previous leaks had suggested technical specifications, such as the 6.7-inch display, with a resolution of 2,636 x 1,080, Snapdragon 855 Plus CPU, 8 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of storage space.
Samsung Galaxy Flip should use extra-thin glass instead of plastic as a screen coating, and hopefully the vertical hinge will be easier to handle than that of the Galaxy Fold. Multiple rumors suggest that the hardware may be close to release and there have been rumors that it may be on sale in some regions by February 14th at a price of around $ 1,400. It is certainly expensive, but if the list were to be confirmed, it would be cheaper than the rival Razr.
