Redmi seems ready to launch a new smartphone. According to the latest rumors, in fact, next week the historic brand will officially present a new phone.
Redmi has not yet said which smartphone it is, but its tag line for the teaser ("desh ka dumdaar smartphone", ed) indicates that the device is in fact the successor of Redmi 8A, which will most likely come under the name of Redmi 9A. Furthermore, Manu Kumar Jain, head of Xiaomi India, has revealed that Xiaomi fans can expect not one, but two surprises: the second seems to concern an unspecified "Product category", with industry experts who suggest a possible "powerbank".
In the past Xiaomi has used it slogan such as 'desh ka smartphone', 'smart desh ka phone' and 'smart desh ka dumdaar smartphone' to promote Redmi 6A, Redmi 7A and Redmi 8A respectively. So, the new slogan seems to refer precisely to the launch of Redmi 9A, although better to wait for the official announcement of the Xiaomi sub-brand.
The new Redmi smartphone will be presented February 11 at 12:00 (local time). At the moment it seems that Xiaomi has not planned no event to announce the new phone: we will see if news about this will come out in the next few hours. It also remains to be seen whether the alleged Redmi 9A will be affected by a global launch.
The teaser indicates that the Redmi phone will be equipped with one dual rear cameras. In addition, the product will also have a 5,000 mAh battery and will feature a new design that will ensure a better grip.
The impression that Xiaomi wants to compete the Redmi 9A with the Realme C3 recently announced: if so, the likelihood that the new Redmi phone will be powered by a processor MediaTek Helio G70 it would become quite high.
