Asus is updating to Android 10 a rather dated phone. We're talking about of the Asus ZenFone Max Pro M1, which was launched in April 2018 as an "inexpensive" smartphone.
Just in these hours, in fact, the confirmation arrived that the device is receiving the beta of Android 10 in India and France. Since it is an inexpensive phone that is not part of the program Android One, the fact that he has already received two updates of the Android platform is really good news. However, as the owners of this device will certainly remember, the arrival of Android 10 is not such an unexpected fact.
At the time of launch, in fact, Asus had promised to provide two important updates of the green robot for ZenFone Max Pro M1, including Android Q. The device received Android 9.0 Pie in April last year, and wanted to keep its promise by launching the second and latest update of the device.
The update that is affecting ZenFone Max Pro M1 phones comes with the version 17.2017.1911.407 and has a size of 1.6 GB. The update to Android 10 brings with it many interesting changes, including a dark system-level mode, the navigation gesture full screen, an improvement of Digital Wellness tools with the introduction of Focus mode and parental control, greater control over app permissions, live subtitles and much more.
As usual, also in this case the update during the distribution phase through OTAtherefore will reach all the affected devices within a few days. As also mentioned by Asus itself, before proceeding with the installation of a beta software it is always better to back up the data.
Some users have started asking for information on this too stable update. So far no official communication has come to this, but the beta distribution suggests that waiting times will not be long.
