RealNetworks has released a new beta version of its RealPlayer 11 for Mac.
Numerous news. Among them, the possibility of downloading videos in Flash format in a simple way, viewing videos in full screen and in theater mode, optimizing the sound with a graphic equalizer, new interface closer to the look and feel of Apple applications, possibility of playing movies in QuickTime. It increases the video playback speed and improves the installation process.
One of the most interesting news of the new beta for the possibility of transferring videos to iPods; for now only the new generation nano, classic and video are supported. iPod Touch and iPhone will be compatible in a future version of the player. This feature is unlocked, however, only by purchasing the Plus version of RealPlayer which costs $ 40.
RealPlayer 11 beta supports both Mac Os 10.4 and Mac Os 10.5, Safari and Firefox. The Windows version, available from November (after the final version 11 was released yesterday) will also have an interface in many international languages, including Italian. There is no mention of a Mac version in ours; for now the beta available, as well as in English, in French, German, Spanish and Japanese.
