Among the novelties of early 2020 there may also be a new iPhone. In fact, rumors are pointing to an iPhone SE 2, or iPhone 9 with more probability, which should represent the new "entry level" offer as far as Apple is concerned. In addition, the new iPad Pro should also arrive during the first half of the year.
Here are the first renderings of the iPhone 9, whose source – needless to say – is OnLeaks. The images speak clearly: this is an iPhone very similar from an aesthetic point of view to iPhone 8 but which should have a matte glass on the back, similar to that of the new iPhone 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max. From the images the frames would seem to be in polished steel even if we assume that they will be in aluminum, cheaper.
There should be no news for the display, that will continue to have a 4.7-inch diagonal. Even the dimensions would be almost identical: 138.5 x 67.4 x 7.8 mm (8.6 mm, including the rear camera pad), slightly thicker than the 7.3 mm of the iPhone 8. In its place it would remain also the TouchID.
The biggest news, however, will be internal with the processor Apple A13 Bionic and a new single-lens camera. Wireless charging should not be missing for the battery that is expected to be more capacious.
According to the analyst's predictions Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple should be able to ship around 20 million iPhones SE 2 in 2020, a figure that can push itself up to 30 million considering the most optimistic scenarios.
