Foxconn: "We won't build the iPhone" – Macitynet.it
Not Foxconn is Apple's partner in building iPhone. To deny the dozens of sites that in the past few months had indicated the anonymous telephone assembler in the Taiwanese company are the same leaders of the company.
The clarification occurred during a meeting dedicated to the investors of the company, a branch of Hon Hai Precision Industry. Speaking of future investments and expansion plans, Samuel Chin, the company's CEO, said the rumors that his company will assemble the phones are false.
The source of the news was decidedly authoritative. Indeed, it was the Wall Street Journal that first spoke of Foxconn as an iPhone assembler. At rumors, Foxconn's shares grew by 5% in a single day.
Chin has not denied that his company could build the telephone in the future nor the fact that it is the parent company based in Taiwan (while Foxconn based in Hong Kong with plants in China and in various Asian countries), to have been in charge.
