The best goal settings and goal tracking apps
1. Habitica: gamify Your Tasks
I'd like to start the list of the best settings for goal settings with one of my favorite apps, Habitica. If you are a fan of role-playing games, you will have fun using this app. The app takes the game elements from role-playing games and combine them with your tasks . In the app, you will create an avatar, get equipment and goods and level up as in RPG games. However, you don't fight your opponents to gain experience and gold, you earn them by completing your tasks. There are three types of tasks: newspapers, habits and things to do . Newspapers and things to do are self-explanatory. Every time you complete them, you earn reward points.
The third type of task called habits is where the app helps you build new habits. Habits can be both positive and negative . Positive habit is something you want to integrate into your daily life like exercise, while negative habit is exactly the opposite. something you want to quit, for example, smoking. L' app tracks everything and rewards and punishes you based on your homework. If you don't complete your homework on time, the app will punish you by decreasing your health and experience. The punishment part of what makes this app above others for me. It keeps me on track by rewarding my results and punishing my mistakes.
Habitica helped me a lot in wooing the player inside me. If you also love role-playing games, this app will be the best goa app for you. However, this app lacks a great feature, which I definitely miss. The app does not allow you to graphically monitor your progress over time. Of course, you know you are making progress when you gain and level up. But a graphical representation is needed if you want to see your progress over time. If this feature was included, I would have recommended this app to everyone. But the lack of this specific feature makes this app a little niche and difficult to recommend to everyone.

2. Strides: Habit Tracker for daily and life goals
Strides probably the best and most feature-rich app in the target list. While most apps focus more on the personal goal side of things, Strides creates a clear balance between personal and professional goals . When you add a goal, the app asks you if the goal is a habit, a number or a project . The Habit option simply allows you to choose the habit you want to build. All you have to do is assign time and repetitions for activities and track your progress. The Numbers option is fairly self-explanatory. In practice, it allows you to set numerical goals such as savings, debt reductions, reading hours, etc.
The option of the project where you can create your professional goals. possible create projects and also set multiple pivot points within a project . Each milestone can be assigned its own specific period of time. Once the milestone is complete, progress is reflected in the app. The app sends you notifications whenever an activity is due, making sure you don't forget to complete your activity. I also like the status bar function. The bar fills up and shows you your progress at a glance. The bars are also color-coded. The green bars indicate that you are on the right track while the red bars mean that you are behind your schedule.
All in all, the app keeps up with you if you want to track a personal or professional goal. However, many features are stuck behind the premium version, which is a bit expensive. You can use the free version to try the app and buy the full version when you are satisfied with its performance.
Install: iOS (free, $ 4.99 / month)
3. HabitHub – Habit and Goal Tracker
HabitHub follows the principle of simplicity and stripes. Sometimes people don't want something as complex as Habitica and just need something to help them track their daily habits and progress without adding any bling. For them, HabitHub can work well. In short words, the app allows you to add goals, track your extraordinary progress and show them in graphs of a very easy to understand strip . You can add actions within the goals and assign the time you want to perform them. The app keeps track of all data and shows you in a graphical form.
I also like the reward system in the app. You can customize the rewards according to your tastes to keep you motivated every day . For example, you can add " Watch Game Of Thrones – 1 episode " for each series of 7 days. So, you know that if you want to see the new GoT episode as soon as it is released, you will have to complete the operation. Although nothing prevents you from watching the episode, this type of reward system brings responsibility. Also, the more you use the system, the more you will get used to it.
HabitHub a very nice app that helps you achieve your goals. The free app to use with a premium version to unlock extra features. There free version limits you to only 5 goals or habits. The premium version removes these restrictions and adds some extra features like online synchronization and theme support . The app currently available only for Android, with the iOS version destined to be released in the near future.
Install: Android, available on iOS (free, $ 4.99)
4. Fabulous: motivate me!
If you are a person who not only needs an app to set the goal but something that also acts as a coach to guide you on the right path, Fabulous is the best solution. better for someone who wants to make a positive change in their personal life but doesn't know where to start. L' app guides you with small audio and written conferences that are at the same time motivating and informative . Staying true to its description, the app takes you on a journey of self-change by instilling healthy habits. The best thing about the app is not just about the physical but also about mental well-being.
By now you must have understood that this app is not for people who want to follow their work-related goals, but rather for them, who want to lead a healthy life. A good thing about the app that starts with something really small (as small as drinking water in the morning when you wake up) and then build a habit as you progress. The app uses the concept of instant gratification for the benefits of its users. If you are looking to lead a healthy life, but don't know where to start, you should start with Fabulous.

5. Productive – Reminder of tracking habits and goals
If you use an iPhone, Productive, in my opinion, one of the best goal / habit setting apps that you can get right now. The app has an interface elegant themed dark that easy to navigate and move around. You can use gestures to control most actions within the app. You can add your habits or goals and monitor your daily progress. The app allows you to add activity reminders so you never forget to do them . The app already includes some preset activities such as Health, Fitness, Hobbies, etc. You can choose from them or create your own goals. I also like the function where the app allows me to add different icons for different tasks .
The free app, but just like HabitHub, limits the number of goals you can create and track. Once you have upgraded to the premium version, you can add an unlimited number of goals. Furthermore, only premium users can see progress for individual goals, free members can only see overall progress. Plus, premium members get a chance to see their progress week by week. They also have the ability to block the application with a passcode. The free version of the Good Production app, but the premium version really adds a lot of advantages over the free version. If you are serious about goal tracking, I highly recommend using the premium version of this app.

6. Loop – Habit Tracker
The top five goal setting apps mentioned in this list will help most of you track your goals. However, all the apps mentioned above are paid apps. You can use their free version, but it limits us the number of goals that you can track simultaneously. If you are looking for a free application that has no restrictionsLoop for Android a great option. The app follows a minimalist design language with an integrated dark mode. You can add your goals and set the repetition of the work. All your achievements are present on the home screen allowing you to quickly mark your progress. If you want to see your progress for a single goal, just touch it. I love the way Loop shows your overall progress. You can see your progress on a graph or on a monthly calendar .
The app also has a fantastic widget which you can place on your home screen to get instant access to your goal tracking data. I must admit that for an app that is free, Loop infinitely better than my expectations. However, it comes with some drawbacks that prevented me from putting it higher on the list. The biggest disadvantage of using Loop is that online backup and synchronization support are not available . This means that if you stop or lose your device, you will lose all your data. You have the option to manually export your data to be kept as a backup, but it will be a hassle, as the data will change every day. However, for a free app, Loop gets the most out of the right things. If you were looking for a free application, there is no better alternative.
