MACWORLD: Mac networked with PCs

MACWORLD: Mac networking with PCs Macitynet.itlogomacitynet1200wide 1

It was already in the air and some sites had reported it. Today it's official, Connecitx announces the immediate availability of Double Talk, a software capable of making Mac users communicate with Windows networks. This product, unlike similar software (Dave comes to mind) was designed for the Mac user who has no experience of Windows based computers, but wants to access file servers and printers on a Windows network. It's impossible and, being a software with extreme ease of use, it makes the Mac a better Windows client than a PC, says M. Cipriano, vice president of marketing for Connectix. Double Talk allows you to access network resources Windows through a very simple set-up. Access to network resources takes place directly from "Chooser"! Incredibly, but what we write has yet to be proven, printing on laser printers for Mac takes place faster than under Mac OS alone. Double Talk requires at least a G3 , OS 8.1 and 24 MB of RAM. The suggested price is $ 99. (By Beniamino Cenci Goga)
