WhatsApp may be the most popular instant messaging service in the world, but Telegram is certainly the most innovative. When WhatsApp was launched in 2009, it rocked the entire communications sector becoming the go-to messaging app for most smartphone owners. While WhatsApp has allowed the company to gain most of its market share, the company hasn't managed to innovate much since it was acquired by Facebook in 2016. Not that the company has stopped innovating entirely. Recently, WhatsApp has introduced many new features including private group reply, picture-in-picture mode, WhatsApp Business and limited group, among others.
only that WhatsApp has been surpassed by companies like Telegram. In the previous year, Telegram introduced a lot of interesting new features including Telegram Bots, the ability to play within the app itself and much more. Recently, it was leaked that the company could look to the launch of its blockchain and cryptocurrency platform which, if true, would change the entire messaging sector. While the launch of the blockchain and cryptocurrency platform still has a rumor, the company has released a new update (v4.7) that brings a lot of functionality requested by the user. My favorite of all is the new feature for multiple accounts, which allows users to run multiple accounts from a single Telegram app. In this article we will see how we can set up and use the functionality of multiple accounts on Telegram:
Set up and use the Multiple Accounts feature on Telegram
very ingenious for Telegram to release the functionality of multiple accounts as something many of us have been waiting for for years. Personally, I like to keep my business and personal contacts separate, and I haven't been able to do this due to the limitations of running a single app on a smartphone. I hate to bring two smartphones and I was just waiting for a function like this. If you are as excited about this feature as I am, here's how you can use the multiple account feature on Telegram :
- Launch the Telegram app e touch the hamburger menu top left. Here, tap the arrow button next to your name.
2. Tap the "Add account" button . Now enter your secondary number and press the button with the check mark at the top right.
3. Now, wait for the phone to recognize your OTP or enter it manually. On the next page enter your name and press the checkmark button .
4. To switch between accounts, simply tap on the hamburger menu and select the account you want to choose.
It is that simple. Currently, Telegram allows you to use three different accounts at a time. In addition, the function currently available only for Android devices, therefore iOS users cannot take advantage of this feature at the moment.
Use multiple Telegram accounts
Telegram one of the best instant messaging apps out there. With its end-to-end encryption, incredible group messaging service, support for robots and many other great features, the app has won the hearts of hundreds of millions of users around the world. Now that the app also supports multiple accounts, I think Telegram's adoption rate will skyrocket. Personally I prefer Telegram over other messaging services of this type and I can't wait to see what the company has planned for the future.
