Xbox 360: Flash Firmware Guide iXtreme Burner Max for recorders …

Let's go back to talking about Xbox 360. To have a backup in format XGD3 (therefore of the last games in circulation) perfectly working, we must necessarily get to burn more than a normal one DVD + DL. One of the burners that suits us the one produced by LiteOn series IHAS version B, such as those listed below:

  • Liteon iHAS124 B = basic model
  • Liteon iHAS224 B = like the 124 + LightScribe
  • Liteon iHAS324 B = like the 124 + SmartErase
  • Liteon iHAS424 B = like the 124 + LightScribe + SmartErase
  • Liteon iHAS524 B = like the 124 + LabelTag + SmartErase
  • Liteon iHAS624 B = like the 124 + LabelTag + LightScribe + SmartErase

LightScribe allows you to engrave dvd labels in shades of gray directly on the surface of the disc data (need lightscribe dvd)

SmartErase destroy data already burned to disc, in order not to leave any data of what's on the DVD.

LabelTagallows you to record only the text on the external part of the DVD where the data is stored.

For ours Guide on how to do the Flash from the iXtreme Burner Max firmware for LiteOn iHas recorders we used theLiteon iHAS524 version B; very important thing that I want to emphasize, at the time of purchase you must find the Version B, as this indicates the chipset model, which in the case of version B is the only functioning one and is right for us. Those with version A and Y are not good.

Once you have updated your reader LiteOn with the Firmware iXtreme Burner Max you can completely describe themISOin formatXGD3on a normalDual Layer DVDarriving at 100% of the writing without truncating the burn and also keeping all the normal functions of the burner, everything allows us to pass all the security and integrity checks of the discs, even thoseCIV(ContentTHEntegrityVerification) which, if unsuccessful, report during the start of a backup copy to theDashboardwith a reading error.

First let's see what we need:

  • A burner DVD Liteon IHASX24 version B (where instead of X you can find a number from 1 to 6, the important thing is to have version B which, as mentioned above, the one with the chipset we are looking for). Do a search on find prices, the burner should cost less than 30 euros.
  • In this packageDownload iXtreme Burner MAXfind the necessary software, with relative firmware.

Let's start by mounting the burner on our computer and make sure it is recognized correctly, to do we just go in Computer Management, click on Device management and check that a unit DVD / CD-ROM your recorder is present LiteOn.
