Important news for consoles Xbox 360 and the Dashboard 13604 currently available.
Microsoft has released an update for the file in a completely transparent way for the end user dae.bin (DvdAuthEx) which contains the list of AP2.5 games with the relative answers to the controls when reading a DVD disc.
I remind you that the controls Anti-piracy (AP2.5) have been put in place to prevent the console from boot of backup copies. Starting from the Dashboard12611, the dae.bin file (stored in the NAND console), is consulted during startup and has been periodically updated with subsequent versions of the Dashboard (which at the time of writing to the version 13604).
The novelty is that the update for the tables AP2.5 it does not provide for any user interaction (no new Dashboard), but is downloaded during a normal online session on Xbox Live.
All games with controls AP2.5, cannot be run on Dashboard 13604 and the console will be "marked" (flagged) for a future ban (exclusion) from the Xbox Live.
This is the list of the games concerned:
- Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood
- Fable III
- Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit
- Halo Reach
- Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
- Call of Duty Black Ops
is including all titles in format XGD3!
If you stayed online in the previous ones 24h, very likely you have the dae.bin updated. The advice to disconnect from Xbox Live and avoid uploading game backups AP2.5It also appears that this file (and its expected responses from the DVD drive) be unique for each console; this (for the moment) makes it impossible to act through patch with abgx360 for starting backup copies.
Obviously still possible to play online on Live with copies original of the games.
