- Unlock the boot loader of the Xiaomi Mi Max 2

Unlock the bootloader

After some time you will receive an SMS on your Xiaomi smartphone with the unlock confirmation of the bootloader, now you just have to go to Developer options and activate the voice Unlock OEM.
If you do not have Developer options active, you can activate it by going to Settings -> About the phone and clicking repeatedly on MIUI version. The new menu you can find it in Settings -> Additional settings.

Install TWRP recovery

To do this you have to unpack this package in the same folder where you installed ADB and Fastboot. If you don't have ADB and Fastboot yet, you can install them by following the guide below.
Now connect your phone to the PC via USB and start the file GizFlasher.bat (which you will have copied to the ADB and Fastboot folder), accept the ADB connection on the smartphone then type 1 to start the installation of the personalized recovery.
