With this guide I want to illustrate you how to take your xbox 360 slim apart, in a completely easy and fast way, to take away the curiosity of seeing how your xbox 360 slim is made inside.
First let's see the tools needed to disassemble the console: a 10 Torx screwdriver and a long slotted screwdriver.

Let's start from the bottom of the console. First we remove the hard disk cover as you see in point 1 by sliding the button to the right and lifting the cover as indicated by the arrow. After removing the first cover, the other grid remains to be removed , to do this just push the grid upwards with your fingers starting from point 3 to follow, very little force will be enough, the grid comes easily, in the lower box you can see the teeth that hold the grid.
Once the grid has been removed, we will now remove the mask underneath, held by 6 teeth, to do this we will have to use the long-cut screwdriver. We insert the screwdriver in point 1, as indicated in the box on the right, and always push towards the outside of the console, lifting the mask at the same time, this procedure must be done for all points except the 5, for which it is better to insert the screwdriver under the mask as shown in the photo and release it.
Once this is done, rotate the console and remove the mask from the opposite side, in a very simple way, inserting the screwdriver into the grid, fitting it, and pulling as indicated by the arrows, even for this step, little force will be needed. With this we proceed to remove the lower mask, in the same way as the one on the opposite side, inserting the screwdriver in the holes and levering it outwards, simultaneously lifting the mask.
Now let's move on to removing the Wi-Fi module, simply using the 10 Torx screwdriver, disassembling the indicated screw, and sliding the module upwards as indicated by the arrow. With this we use the screwdriver to lever and lift the 2 teeth that hold closed the casing of the Xbox 360 slim, and we widen the casing.
Now let's turn the console and go to the opposite side! First we remove the warranty seal (ATTENTION! Remove the warranty seal, it means losing the warranty on the console). Once the seal has been removed, we begin to lift the first tooth indicated by 1, inserting the screwdriver as indicated by the arrow. first tooth, now comes the most difficult part of the whole console disassembly, since the tooth indicated with the number 2 cannot be lifted by inserting the screwdriver as for point 1, since there is a kind of plastic cover, therefore the only way to unhook that tooth is the following, you need to widen the console as much as possible and insert the screwdriver as you can see in arrow 2 of the lower box, and apply force towards the inside of the console to lower the tooth. Be careful, because it takes a bit of strength and must be used in the right place, so take a good look at the photo to see where the tooth is.
Once the side panel has been removed, now let's move on to the front panel, just make a slight force to rotate the mask as in point 1, and then push the mask outwards and remove it as indicated by arrow 2.
Once the front panel has been removed, we now move on to removing the front ticket where we find the power button. First we have to remove the data cable, moving the locks forward arrows 1, we lift the data cable in the back as shown by the arrows 2 and finally we remove the cable as in arrow 3.Last operation is to remove the screws that hold the card with a Torx 10 screwdriver indicated in point 4.
Now let's move on to removing the other casing for which it will be necessary to remove the black screws circled in red, one of which is located under the second white microsoft seal. If instead you want to remove the motherboard, you can later remove the screws circled in blue (optional operation only if you want to see your console inside).
And here's what the console looks like! To disconnect the player, simply pull out the power cable 1 and the s-ata cable 2.
Differences between the readers of the Xbox 360 fat and slim.
As for length and width, excluding the solids indicated with the number 1 including the rear feet, the two readers are identical, the slim reader is only 2-3 mm higher, and other difference, the rear connectors are decentralized.
