Twitter launches Music and enters the world of music streaming. The realm of Spotify and Apple has a new formidable alternative

The success of Spotify just landed in Italy the arrival of Rdio, the clear intention of Google to build its own platform, distort the relationship between social networks and this type of consumption based on streaming and sharing their tastes with their friends. Even the social 140 character network ready to dive into music streaming, with a rather new way. Instead of offering its own platform for listening to songs, the service will transmit them using the catalogs of Spotify, Rdio, SoundCloud, Vevo, iTunes and YouTube, in fact you can "tweet" the songs directly from the app. The songs come from three sources: iTunes, Spotify or Rdi.
After the many rumors and first confirmations Twitter officially unveils the new music service simply called "Music" (#music). The latter is available from today via the web (music.twitter.com) and application for iPhone, (If you have an iTunes Store account in the US, you can download Twitter Music right now by clicking here.) Then it will also arrive on Android. The site is online and structured like many other music services, with 4 main tabs that contain all the great successes of the moment. Twitter, explains Phillips, will work to add other music providers. Among the sections, identified with the hashtag symbol (#) in perfect Twitter style, there is #NowPlaying, accessing which you can browse to browse and listen to the songs that have been "tweeted" by the artists and by the people who " follows ?on Twitter.
