Previous tests included 100, 200 and 400G transmissions and the implementation of a super channel at 800G, which is equivalent to the simultaneous transmission of seven high definition DVDs in one second.
Proved the possibility of supporting Terabit speed on the BT central backbone, thanks to the use of WaveLogic transmitters 3 and implementing single or multiple channel techniques. For a specific test, 400G traffic was transmitted and monitored throughout the network using a 16QAM modulation and operated perfectly maintaining the wavelength between 40 and 100G QPSK-based.
