A growth of 12% in 2012, with a turnover of around 250 million euros, and a prospect of a 15% increase for the current year, these are the numbers of AVM, a German company that supplies devices for broadband, which has 420 employees of whom 180 are dedicated to research and development. The result of this investment in development has led to an excellent hardware and software quality of the Fritz! Box devices, the company's flagship product. We do not sell a box, but an experience is stated by Gianni Garita, AVM country manager for Italy (in the photo). We have direct contact with consumer customers, partners, distribution and telcos that allow us to develop products according to consumer needs. Now, we also develop products completely in Italian (these days we present Fritz! Box 3272), with interface, manuals, technical requirements, software and box proposed specifically for the Italian market. But there are many new proposals. By the end of the year, AVM will launch the new top-of-the-line Fritz! Box 7490 modem router with WiFi ac + n technology, the Fritz! Box 6840 LTE also features VoIP phones (support Dect and high definition), repetear for the Wifi signal (like the 300E or the simplest 310), smart sockets for switching on and off electric devices automatically or remotely thanks to an app.Incoming also the new OS 6 operating system, already available for the German market, waiting for all the others European localizations including the Italian one. Alias, AVM's historical distributor in Italy, will contribute to achieving the goal of growth in the B2B market, while for the consumer market the company is developing agreements with telephone operators (in the stores of the big telcos: Telecom Italia with Wifi Repetear, Wind Infostrada with Frtiz! Box 7330) and with large electronic distribution. As for online products instead are already on both Amazon and E-price, with Monclick and Drako.it.In Italy the sales team will also be expanded and an agreement has been signed with Esprinet that will allow the company to enhance the presence on the market and effective access to new commercial channels: with Esprinet AVM conquers a strong distribution partner that has numerous retailers and e-tailers as retailers and system integrators. Esprinet also operates through its own cash & carry points.
